I mean, English has long been a pretty borrowed language so its only right
mixed feelings though cause this does translate into a form of soft power, imo. Language itself holds economic power imo as well and with Africa's projections over this century, I can't help but want to see more winds heading in that direction, where (key word) some of languages themselves take prominence.
None of that has to do with Oxford or it's dictionary decisions though lol I'm just pondering

Africa has the biggest youth population, and has large direct diaspora population around the globe. So I see their native languages spreading and impacting other languages as well.
I think about language and its influence a lot.... that was arguably more of collection of thoughts than a proper response lol
The adoption in the Oxford's dictionary is evidence of the impact too, wasn't trying to say otherwise
