Most of these books are in the public domain. Most writers were enslaved, Freedmen, or the recent family of Freedmen

The whole first row, along with The Destruction of Black Civilization are the six books I think every racially aware breh should read.

Kuwasi Balagoon outlined his ethno-anarchist ideology in A Soldier's Story and it influenced my personal politics deeply. Change begins with like minded people on grass, handle it.

I'm proud to be Black but first and foremost, I'm proud to be African-American.

We have a deep history for such a short time being a nation, it's being destroyed and it needs to be preserved.

I don't read like I used to smh. Think I only read Malcolm X and Black Boy outta the books listed. I always recommend Dr Na'im Akbar's books. They're all quick reads but evoke powerful mindsets imo

  • Know Thy Self
  • The Community of Self -- critical for any discussions or outlook on lineage/community
